Why do so many people think this is a bad game?

I've read a few reviews of this game on the internet, and almost all of them thought this is a bad game. I still bought it, but I think it's a fantastic game. My Computer begun doing weird stuff at level 3 so I played it on another computer, and I finished the game on it. I don't understand people that think this game sucks.

the game was great. i loved the game. its a really good way of working stories that will never be covered in any film. the graphics were great, the platform was good. it felt good to play those characters for real.
big dissapointment, its so short.
ive played x-men legends I, and that (despite being based on the new 'ultimate' comics and therefore being a bit stupid - and dont get me started on the video graphics to make it look more like a comic - I DONT WANT THAT) was really long and good to play. ok, legends had lots of running rond and back and forth at times, but it was great and went really far. and it lasted a long time.
i bought x men the official game and completed it in a few hours.
it just wasnt long enough. i was hoping that once that much lit of levels had been completed there would be 2 more with different bosses. sabretooth - while being a classic - was not the most amazing fight to see.
it was great. but short.

this might be because I'm just now getting into Xmen and this is my first real Xmen game (aside from the old classic arcade games) but I love it!

Because it was terrible?

This game was just a cheap cash in for a mediocre movie. I love the X-Men series, but this game had problems all over it. Sure, the nightcrawler and iceman levels were neat, but the bad controls, even worse camera angles, and repetitive fighting made the game lick balls.

Look at the "cut scenes" and tell me that they put an actual effort into it. Had they taken some time and not just rushed this piece of sh*t out, they may have come up with a great, or even halfway decent game. Unfortunately for us, the studio just wanted to sucker people in to buying a game that was (by your admissions) far too short, and obviously sub-par.

I didn't think that it was a terrible game, but there wasn't anything really great about it either. Nightcrawler's levels are fun as all hell, but Wolverine's and Iceman's levels can be a pain. Wolverine's can be annoying because you really need to level him up before he's actually fun to play, and Iceman's levels always go between fun and super-annoying (especially the level where you had to chase the Sentinels).

I think a great X-Men game would be like this one only you can be the other X-Men as well. Alternate between like 15-20 X-Men characters and play like 3 or 4 missions with each character until you get to the end, that would be a great game IMO. Nightcrawler was definitely the highlight of this game, being able to teleport with him was awesome. I'd buy the game just for those levels.
