Why didn't she realize they would come after her?

Once the unpaid workers punched her the face and beat her on the street-and threw something through their window-why doesn't she seem more worried that they will stop at nothing to get their money? She apparently stays in the same flat, allows her son to go downstairs and answer the door without a care in the world as to who might be coming by, and at one point grabs her share of the money and tells Rose she doesn't care, she's taking hers and Rose can give hers to the workers if she wants.

She is supposed to be a savvy woman-why on earth would she not realize these guys would be out for blood and come after her again?

Also, I thought it was unrealistic that a few minutes after peeing on the floor with terror, she is calmly telling these men on the phone that she will pay them back but "leave my son alone". Obviously she has no power to protect herself or her son so why does she think she can tell them anything?

Angie was smart at her job at the agency she worked, it appears, but an incredibly stupid girl who had no idea what she was doing and the consequences of her actions. not the first person though.
