Why Frank didn't seem sick ?

I wondered this after i saw the other characters developing symptoms pretty soon after the initial infection, so this virus was a type with short incubation period.
Bobby was showing signs of infection short after the little girl coughed , Brian aswell had shown signs of symptoms after he was infected by Bobby.
The father, Frank was with his little girl and without any mask or other safety measures and when they met with them the girl was sick for about a week.
So how Frank didn't get infected in all this time spent close to his child ?

Okay i think he would of been remember bobby had the first signs of the infection she was not coughing up blood yet so i would say the father would of been the same.

As for brian he was shot and was weak from loss of blood his brother only found out he was infected when brian pulled down his pants to dress the wound

And i also think it comes down to the person same people have a higher intolerance for disease's so maybe to father
had a high tolerance .

Good points.

With the girl being sick for a week (he said so), there's no way he wouldn't be sick also. Yet not only was he without symptoms, but at full strength (unlike his kid and whomever whom became infected).

If anyone was immune, it was him, not Brian.

Maybe to address the fact that no disease is 100% fatal in real life. Even the black plague and ebola are not 100% fatal, with some people managing to recover on their own and thus becoming immunized.

For all we know, Frank did become infected (how could he not?) yet managed to recover and thus is now immune. It does happen in real life.
