Didn't go anywhere with their premise, too short, just a lazy film

This movie had such an amazing premise and I really wanted to like it, but they did practically nothing with the premise evidenced by the 77 minute running time. They tried to add some meaning to the movie with the whole brothers stuff at the end but ultimately I felt like the scriptwriter clearly ran out of steam after 30 minutes. This should have been a post apocalyptic classic but instead it will simply pass into the great dustbin of movie disappointments.

Yeah, ditto. I agree. I thought it was gunna be better too. I wanted to watch it cos I've been writing a similar story for the last few years and thought they knicked some of my ideas. But now I've seen it I can rest safe in the knowledge that no one has hacked my pc!

I enjoyed this film much more then I thought I would. I liked how they didn't go the usual sappy route of family and friends stay loyal till the end. One of the premises that they explored to great success is the idea that survival is our primary motivation and instinct.

That said, the scene where the girlfriend tries to help the sick little girl did seem kinda cliqued and hackey. I think most people would try and comfort a person dying of AIDS, but we wouldn't allow thier blood to touch our uncovered skin to do it. This movie could have been great, but a few flaws like that just make it good.

I do think this was their one original contribution to the genre. Of course there was so much more they could have done. It had decent pacing, neither too fast or too slow, but each individual encounter didn't add much so as the OP says, by then end, we didn't get very far.

I don't know where you expected it to go. I thought they took it plenty if interesting places.

The movie felt like 70 minutes long, they did nothing.

Sounds like a paradox to me.

They go to the beach, so you lie.

I felt the same way about it starting strong then becoming somewhat aimless.
