Comedy?

I loved it not only because of the still-lovely Miss Duffy, but also because I thought I was seeing both stars at their most serious. If this was supposed to be a comedy (apart from the reputations of both stars) maybe it was the first TV-movie that ever needed a laugh track. I thought it was a portrait of a self-reliant man's secret, potentially contagious cocaine addiction and of a woman's struggle to balance her real life with the family togetherness she preaches, on a radio show, to other families in crisis.
