Incredibly weird... so much Buffy-ness...

So, I barely ever make comments on IMDB, and yet...

Anyone else think it's just kinda creepy to put a bunch of Buffy kids back together in completely different, unrelated roles?

I mean, isn't everyone who's seen Buffy just going to be thinking "Cordelia and Xander!" the whole time...?

reply

basically. christopher gorham was in an episode of it, as well.
remember season 2 - i only have eyes for you?

reply

That's what makes it fun :P

The cast of Popular which ended back in 2001, have ended up in ALLOT of the same things over the years, just kinda giggle to yourself at the novelty value.

reply

Yeah, I know that I'll be thinking "Cordelia and Xander" the whole time too. It also seems that ABC Family is a hangout for the Buffy cast, what with Emma Caulfield starring in that Ryan Banks movie... But if I can't get my Buffy fix, I'm gonna go for seeing some of my favorite stars in whatever movies they happen to be in. And if two are in the same film, that much the better!

"And if two are in the same film, that much the better"

I agree with that!

Both Charisma -and- Nicholas have also done other ABC Family movies as well.

reply

yeah I guess that is pretty wierd, but I got the whole Cordy/Xander thing out of my head after I stuck Angel/Cordy in. But anyway...Alyson Hannigan & Charisma Carpenter both have recurring roles on Veronica Mars, which is pretty wierd too. Also, Jason Behr (Who was in an ep. of Buffy in the 2nd season) was in "The Grudge" with SMG along with Clea DuVall(Invisible girl in season 1 of buffy). Lot's of little reunions going on.

reply

You're right. I'm always noticing the reunions and the little throwaway lines they do to reference the Buffy days. I was/am a huge Buffy fan, but honestly, I didn't think "Cordelia and Xander!" once.

Tomorrow's just your future yesterday!

Not that much "Buffy-ness" so far as I can see. Just two former cast members of a very popular and well-written show.It has not been off the air long and can still be seen in reruns. I guess thats why some would think that.....

reply

I was glad to see Nicholas and Charisma again I haven't seen them in awhile. The only thing that stopped me thinking Look Cordelia and Xander was that Charisma and Nicholas were together with different people and not with eachother.

Smartass I am that's right[Sarcasm]

thats actually the only reason why I watched the movie lol. It was pretty good, cheesy, but its an ABC family movie so I was expecting Cheesy.:-)

But yeah I"m used to seeing both those actors as other than "Xander" and "Cordelia" esp. "Cordelia" since she's been on Veronica Mars for a season.

There were a couple moments though lol where I was like yeah Xander and Cordelia K where's Buffy Willow and Giles? LOL

That's the reason I saw it, too. I'm sure it goes for a lot of Buffy fans. Hey, the more people watch it, the better, right? Who cares why you're watching it, just as long as you do.

I'm pretty excited about seeing Nick Brendon, though. I haven't seen any work by him since Buffy ended, and I absolutley love the character of Xander. I saw Charisma on Charmed, so when I saw them both on the preview I pretty much freaked out. Thank god for abc family!

reply

Alright...I'm a HUGE Buffy fan, and I haven't seen the movie yet. I TIVO'd it though , and the only reason I did was to watch "Cordy & Xander," but different. Charisma & Alyson was the main reasons I started watching Veronica Mars too.

I'll take my Buffy-ish fix anywhere I can get it!

Yeah!! Take that... and stuff! er something to that effect.
<O>
Watch Veronica Mars!!!

so much buffyness??

2 main characters an one guest actor?

not that much. but still enough to make any buffy-fan want to watch it.
