Poor Katherine!
I don't think it's very fair that Dil up and dumped Katherine like that. I mean, sure, she was competative; but she's from the city! Having a strong work ethic is important. I just thought that was totally unfair.

sharelol you're kidding, right? he never loved her.
she was totally wrong for Dil & she didn't care about what he wants & the things that he likes.
she had a problem with his ideas, personality, car, clothes & everything else.
she thought that he had the potential to be what she likes & tried to change him into something he's not.
After watching the movie again, I now understand this very completely. It took Dil a long time to realize that even though Katherine liked and loved him alot and was someone controlling him too, like making him change his car and wardrobe of clothes(even though she paid for them with her own money), it wasn't consensual or mutual on Dil's or Dilbert's end of the feelings from his heart. Plus he didn't realize that until after some thoughts of reuniting with April. He only thought he liked and loved her because she loved him yet it wasn't consensual or mutual from Dil's heart at his end. I can understand that. He even told April, he never liked her despite the factor that she was pretty and attractive and affectionate alot but in his heart he didn't love her. You learn from this that you don't always love them or like them because they like you. Love in many directions is just a complicated thing. Plus it took Dil a very very very long time for him to realize it.
sharehave you seen her in buffy lol
shareI sort of felt bad for her, but when I thought about it, they were never right for each other. She was very pushy and competitive and he said he never even liked her. He was probably just with her because she liked him. When he realized he actually liked the other girl, he broke up with Katherine. It was kind of harsh, but necessary. The diamond thing made her impossible to be with in my opinion.
Tomorrow's just your future yesterday!
yeah, butwhat a terrible way to get dumped, when you think you're being proposed to.
and it wasn't like she was a bad person, she really meant well, so it didnt really seem like she deserved that
agreed! She was never an outright bad person, sure she was intense, but it was way to meanspirted! Plus I love Charisma! I think it sucks how they treated how character and to me it makes Dil unlikeable
shareThey should of made us hate her so when he dumped her and married that other girl we would be been happier for him

I can't disagree. I thought Katherine was nice and supportive, if a bit pushy, but even Dilhole's own brother admitted that was exactly what he needed.
I wasn't too fond of April; she was a complete loser with no real job, car, or prospects so I didn't quite buy "I've been in love with you for years". Riiight toots, you're practically homeless and he's a lawyer. Sure, it's true love.
