sweet daddy D
I don't know why but his random interjections during the dvd really piss me off because they're so lame. Anyone else feel the same?

shareI completely agree. It felt out of place and not funny at all. The interruptions break the rhythm of the show, which on itself is fantastic.
shareI mean I can kind of see what he was trying to achieve, but playing on stereotypes (Bubba J & Sweet Daddy) is cliched and not funny. I love the other characters but these ones missed the mark.
shareWell, I understand a lot of comedy work is built upon playing with stereotypes, so I won't criticize the choice. I just felt the results of his efforts were not actually successful. But the one I really disliked was Sweet Daddy. Bubba J was not great, but ok, as well as Melvin the superhero.
Peanut, Walter and Achmed, however, are on a whole different level. They're simply outstanding!
I concur
shareYup, felt the same way. I just wanted to hit "him" and wanted the action to get back to Jeff.
shareAgreed. Sweet Daddy D was (imo) Dunham's weakest character, so cutting to him was cutting away from someone funnier.
