One of the things I really enjoyed about this movies is the natural use of languages (i.e. the Russians actually speak Russian, the French speak French, the Americans speak English). The other thing was that the main character made it clear he prefered to speak in French so the main dialogue is in French (being a French production). In many movies of this type that are produced by Hollywood they have a character say one or two token lines in Russian and then go back to speaking English for the audiences sake. A great film all in all.

I totally agree. Even more so this is the same with American television as a whole. There are very, very few exceptions, one notable being COMBAT!, where Germans speak German and French Speak French (without subtitles!). Fortunately a Cajun American from the squad does the translations (very believably). I'm always annoyed by Hollywood portrayals of foreign speaking people - in their country no less - speaking English with a foreign accent.
