For those of us who hated the anime with a passion?

As an anime lover and [as]'s hosting of FLCL, Bebop, and Trigun, I expected the anime to be good. Instead, I thought it was as bad as Naruto with mind-numbingly terrible sappy one-liners that they only have in "romance" novels for old women.

So what would someone like me think of this movie?

Wow, that's an interesting combination of tastes. You like anime, but also sappy romance novels for old women. How cool! lol ;)

Not only that, your powers of concentration are so tremendous, that you can watch an entire movie; yet ask others what you thought of it? (Either that, or you're one of the most generous souls i've ever witnessed) :D

Back in a few, going to watch the anime of it ....

um, i liked the casting of koyuki as the arch-demon/vampire. there's this cool parallel world type thing at the end where the demons/vampires have their fight, and she keeps her demon-haughtiness/coolness through-out as she wears this beatifully designed costume.

the fight with the old guy was very nice to watch too

the council workers/clean-up crew i found were also well done. creepily identical, with a mind only for their job, makes them seem "inhuman". hehe

i also have never seen the anime. so i'm judging this just as a movie itself.
script is full of fluff that i think they thought would bring emotional impact to viewers. i just laughed at it. so no mind numbingly terrible sappy one-liners. just almost mind-numbing unnecessary "emotional" scenes. just skip 'em.

um, splatters and splatters of cgi blood that look like purple oil drops being splashed around. they will cut this in with more realistic looking red liquid.

i guess i really only liked the fight with the old guy and koyuki at the end.

and the nurse at the end. only saw the side of her face, but she looked like she might be hawt.

that's all i can say about this.
