Poster a bit racist?

I can't put my finger on it, but I seem to find this poster rather racist for some reason. I know this is probably going to get bashed for trolling and such, but I just wanted to throw this out there that when I saw this poster I thought it was sort of cool and then felt like there was something wrong with it.

This was an American-made movie, right? It was terrible, I approve of the anime film overall, but this poster made me feel that H-wood or whoever was promoting the film wanted to warn American audiences (white people, like myself) that this movie is going to have an asian lead character.

I'm all for making any lead a different race, I understand it and it's always great to have that quality in an American-made film.

What I thought was racist about it was that she basically has the Japan flag as a background, as a way of alerting audiences that this is a "Japanese-themed" film, as if they think it would be a waste of their time. In many ways to the film itself it was a terrible, terrible film, I just felt like this particular poster in the marketing made it stand out the wrong way, it's like if you have an American white girl get her own movie but she has to be standing in front of the American flag to show everyone that it's an American-themed film.

Despite the American cast, this isn't an American production, it's actually a Hong Kong and French production. And I don't see how that poster is racist at all. It's not the Japanese flag in the background, it's a blotch of blood. The movie is called BLOOD The Last Vampire. And even if it did have the Japanese flag in the background, it wouldn't imply that this movie is unsuitable for white Americans. It would just mean that the film takes place in Japan, is based on a Japanese anime, and has a Japanese main character.
