Question for the fans...

I was wondering if you guys know of any shows similar to This American Life on television.

I do both enjoy the radio and television iterations of the show, and the IMDB recommendations at the bottom of the page are no help, they just recommend documentary films from the past couple years.

The only show that I can think of that is similar in any way that I enjoy would have to be MTV's True Life.

Can you guys make any recommendations?

It has a different pace to it, but you might want to give Paul Almond's 1964 TV series Seven Up! a go. It is also human interest.

Back in the 1970s there were a number of series like this--The Great American Dream Machine, Its All In Your Head, even An American Family was more like TAL than the reality shows it is usually compared to.
