Because CGI is awesome.

Besides, I like classic stuff too, but things do move on you know. It doesn't always have to be "timeless" or "classic" to be good.

CGI is big now! Most animated films and programs are CGI nowadays, and while I prefer hand drawn animated films myself, I can understand from financial and creative standpoints as to why animation has gone this direction.

Be cause all American animation studios have a CGI-only and they have only done CGI for years. Disney Animation studios have said that they will stop making cel animation. Ironic be cause many consider Disney to be the "pioneers" of cel animation.
