Winner of the first challenge... Really???

Can't believe they raved about that vignette! I had nothing against the color, or the general idea, but it seemed sparse to me, and the sofa was not substantial enough, etc. I really wonder what they are thinking sometimes!

Shockingly, I liked his room a lot. To be truthful, none of them were that great.

I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. They are so unlike your Christ-Gandhi

Well, it's hard to say what's "best" in a design competition, I guess. It's all just a matter of the judges' opinions when you come right down to it.

I liked the pink wallpaper and the dark flooring, but it just didn't seem to have enough stuff to fill up the empty spaces. I liked the office vignette, and the ink blot one was okay.

But I agree with you, they weren't all that great. Maybe because it was the first challenge, maybe because their truck was running late and they had to scramble toward the end. I don't know. Looking forward to seeing what they all do next.

Watched it again, and I think my faves were the ones the judges declared safe right away; the ones they said were neither the worst nor the best. I think they were Tylor, Tiffany, and Jessie...

I didn't like it very much - especially the pink back wall with no focus and boringly placed objects - it was barely average.

Yeah, none of those first challenge vignettes wowed me.

I'm interested in seeing more of Brook's individual work instead of group stuff but I will say that his ADD/manic Brooklyn hipster schtick is already wearing a little thin on me. He is one of the most talented ones there though. I will def. give him that.
