Shame

I stumbled across a torrent of this, only seen the first 6 episodes so far, but it's surprisingly good. Strong characterization, mystery, action, suspense. Couldn't wait to see what happened next. I love serials over procedurals first of all, especially ones that aren't so cliché I have the entire plot figured out in the first 5 minutes (depressingly common). It's really too bad it never got a chance to develop.
