the show not only was amazing but fresh air too. Now with oscar material THE TOWN movie coming out with excellent reviews, many people will be interested in heist related stories.
CBS is time to relaunch this serie, make SMITH & team reunite again for new jobs.
as USA's White Collar and TNT's Leverage has proven, given the chance intelligent television can flourish. networks will rarely understand that (besides the gimmacky laden Glee tripe).how many L&O, CSI and NCIS franchises can we slather across the lineup night after night. and don't get me started with the gawd awful reality horse pucky that is dumbing down our already unchallenged intellect.
let a cable channel, or HBO/Showtime kind of channel run with it. take the 7 produced, and 5 unproduced episodes and reboot the show, and we're off and running.
perhaps HBO could find a solid new outlet for the Soprano die hards? AMC has a few shows running their course in Mad Men and Breaking Bad. they look like intelligent folks who would know a good thing when they have it fall in their laps
if it wasn't for my horse, i wouldn't have spent that year in college
With the success of The Town one could think a series about pro robbers could work well on AMC or HBO, hell even on FX, but reboot a show that already failed (even if it was awesome), I don't think it could be done. But a new show, maybe with a little twist (such robbers, maybe ex military, could moonlight as "extractors" for PMCs or breaking people out of jail) to keep it fresh (because how many successful bank robberies can one do before being rich enough to stop?) I would definitely watch.
