shareThe serious answer from what I can remember is that in the very first episode, there were men working up in the trees trimming the limbs along the street where Marin was walking. She walked past (more like almost tripped over) a construction sign that said 'Men in Trees'.
shareI'm not a native English speaker, so this may be totally implausible but I assumed the title was sort of a play on the idiom "money doesnt grow on trees", meaning money is not abundant. "Men in trees" would, in the context of the show, mean that there are a lot of them, i.e. they are growing on trees implying they are abundant in number.
