Mountains in Western Kansas??

Come on producers, do you really assume the viewing audience is really that geographically illiterate? It is common sense that west kansas is flat as a pancake. It stays that way to Denver and just beyond as the Rockies form. Those scenes from that farm shows a pretty mountainous terrain. It is obvious this was shot in California. Either film it on location in Kansas or use CGI. This just really bugs me.

I remember this was a topic during the show's running. This show was so unpopular. You should have seen this board back then. Every other post was someone ridiculing the idiocy of the writing and terrible acting on the show.

Like they used all the electricity in the town to run the TVs and stereos in the bar, while the town hospital had no electricity to run the oxygen pumps and life support equipment. Sheer stupidity.

And, yeah there were lots of complaints about all the mountains in Kansas, that shouldn't have existed.

''I'm fortunate the pylons were not set to a lethal level.''

I am watching Jericho for the first time and find the Cali geography distracting... Also annoys me how they leave their lanterns on and candles burning when no one is using them as if they aren't precious resources.

It always frustrates me why writers can't write stories that take place outside of NYC or LA, but then crap like this tells me the answer to my own question: because writers are too stupid/lazy to pick up a *beep* almanac and read about the location they're writing about. Remember how The X-files Movie depicted Dallas in the middle of a desert? It amazes me how stuff like that even gets past a board of producers. Did one person not read that and say "wait a minute..."?

Just the terrain mistakes by producers who never left their California offices ?
How about the general appearance of the residents of Bumphuque,Kansas ?
Everybody's thin/trim, good-looking, and nobody wears glasses with many driving
Lexus SUVs. Better get outta your mother's basement, get in the car and visit small
Kansas towns like Hays, Salina, etc. to broaden your horizons.

Yeah I have spent my entire life here in Kansas and there are no mountains! It would have been nice if they did film it here since there are plenty of small towns and rural areas to use for filming. I still love the series though! It was a nice one with a great cast.

Does it really matter no.

People that are so picky like this why are you even watching tv shows they are about a story plus drama also this show didn't have a very large budget it was as stated about the story/drama also characters.

CGI is not cheap this is why if you look at a lot of tv series they would limit back then how much was used also it took fair amount of time to produce it.
