In episode 6 they put 3500 on a horse which won at 14-1, that comes to 52'500... enough to sort everyone out... why does Tommy leave it all on the bar?

Those odds were for the Lester Neslon horse. Tommy switched the bet to Burroughs that had 1-5 odds or some *beep*

Actually, it was the "Lester Bangs" horse that Kevin picked after vacillating over "Lester" or his original gut pick, "Butterbro." Tommy went with Kevin's original gut instinct, knowing full well how "lucky" Kevin was as a gambler.
