shareJust finished the show today. Yeah Jimmy is a piece of crap scumbag, almost started to think it would have been better off if they did kill him in the first episode. By the end though it seemed like they were setting him up to turn things around in the second season that never happened.

It'd hit them really hard, no matter how insufferable he was. That was the only reason I ever wanted him to make it through okay.
I think the show did really well in selling the brothers as an item. You either take them all, or you take none. It's not often I get that feeling in series or films about families.
The actors really did sell the brotherhood 1-4-all, all-4-1 angle. But goodness Jimmy was to damn insufferable. Had they gotten a 2nd season I don't think he would have last long. He was too bat$hit crazy to be topside much longer. He was straight-up Sonny Corleone. There's a trapped toll-booth waiting for him somewhere in the very near future.
