Music changes from broadcast and NBC website, and which was put on dvd

I realize there isn't much traffic here, but googling has failed me on this so hopefully in a couple months somebody who remembers will see this.

My understanding is that, for the few episodes that actually aired on TV, the music was different from the episodes put online the next day on NBC's website. Sounds like a weird situation, but I have come across more than one reference to this in old posts.

So my questions:

1. Which version of the episodes are on Netflix music-wise? The broadcast songs or the NBC website songs?

2. What is on the DVD set, because I saw one random post saying the DVD was redone with generic songs different from either of the above, but none of the reviews of the DVD mention it anywhere. Can anyone who watched them live and now has the dvd set confirm or deny?

Thanks so much for any help you can offer guys, I know it's not a super important thing but it's bugging me that I can't find out the answers for a show I've come to really like.

People may be referring to one incident with the pilot where during Tommy's shootout in the bar, there were two different versions of the episode where each version played a different song during the scene. I haven't heard anything about music alterations for the series in general but I'm 15 so hey, what do I know? The broadcasted episode of the pilot aired it with the song "Open Your Eyes" but the episode was leaked prior at one point with the song "Rebellion (Lies)" instead. I'm pretty sure the Netflix copies of the episodes have music from the original broadcasts, and the DVD set appears to be the same.

I hope I've been able to help somewhat, despite the fact I never saw the original broadcasts directly :)

Of course, I may be incorrect.

Thanks for your help. I just noticed this in the IMDb faq section to further confuse things:

"A note about television episodes versus online episodes. Even though the television and online episodes were identical (pre-cancelation), the songs on the online episodes were different than the television episodes. That is because NBC saves a lot of licensing money by using less well-known artists for the online episodes. Although some people assume that the music in the online episodes is inferior, the opposite may sometimes be true, because for the online episodes, the music selection is based less on star-power and cross-marketing, and more on how a "smaller" artist's work might fit into a particular scene. Regardless, because the online episodes use songs by lesser-known artists, it is harder to identify those artists and their songs (although if you look hard enough you may have some luck). Many of the artists placed in the online episodes have "indie" releases on smaller, labels, and most have their songs on iTunes."

I can't even really tell what that's saying other than music was different somewhere lol. I notice the music for the episodes on YouTube for the pilot are different throughout the entire episode than the version on Netflix ('Are you gonna be my girl' by Jet and more are not in it). Anybody have any specifics they remember?
