Someone stole my idea!
I think I came up with it several months ago. Maybe before Christmas.
My idea: A woman doing research on the Lament Box receives a strange fire opal from her boyfriend. The opal turns out to be the legendary Stone of Secret Fire, and she inadvertently summons the Djinn. Her first wish is to know more about the Lament Box, and that in turn leads to her summoning the Cenobites.
As it turns out, Leviathan was originally the original Djinn, but was cast out after they lost the war against the angels. Leviathan then teams up with, then betrays, the fallen Angel Lucifer. And that is the birth of Hell.
And now, our world will serve as the battlefield for the battle between The Djinn and The Cenobites.
Although Hellraiser: Hellbent sounds cool, too.
