Is there anyone who LIKED this movie?

Seriously, I have seen movies way worse than this! It seems like IMDB users are so full of hate towards Facing the Giants, and i was wondering...who liked this movie? Anyone?

I just saw it today at youth church and I loved it! It was very inspiring. It was all about hope and faith. Nothing is impossible!

Even if you don't believe in God, if you have confidence in what you do you will succeed greater than you would if you don't have confidence. The power of the mind is a great deal.

I really like the movie and its message. I think people are way too hard on it.

Yes there is. Quite a few people actually. And I didn't just like it, I agree with the message the movie was trying to get across. "Without God, nothing is impossible." Matthew. I cannot remember what the chapter and verse is at the moment. But there is another that is also brought up when they were trying to get David to kick the ball straight. That is Matthew 7:13-14 -- "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and may enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." Its trying to tell us that we need to follow the narrow pathway of God, so that we may enter the gates of heaven. And not through the gates that lead to destruction.

I loved this movie. I thought they did really well with the actors and talent they found right in their very own church. One of my favorite christian family movies.

I know tons of people who loved the movie. You gotta understand, a site like this will draw negative posters like moths to a fire.

The movie was GREAT, no doubt.

If you are not a Christian though, you wouldn't have liked the Jesus message.

My dad loves this movie. I'm a Christian, but I felt this movie was simply poorly-acted pandering.

THe main reason my dad loves it is because it was made by the David Lanier Production Company or some crap... And my dad's name is David Lanier. (Mine is Aaron.) He didn't produce it, but for some reason he felt seeing that in the credits of this "great film" was proof that God existed to him.

Cool story, right? I love Christian-themed movies... Just not ones that preach terribly. Saved is an example of a good Christian-themed movie. It took a very realistic stance on things.

Omgosh! I open my mouth and a little purse falls out!
