Hell's Kitchen It Is NOT

Or Bravo's Top Chef. It's quite boring in large part, both the contestants and the judges. No one has any personality. I'm hoping it picks up eventually.

Edited to add:
These judges don't just lack personality, they are obnoxious.

Moreover they complain about what they don't like to eat before they taste. Unless they mentioned their dislikes to the cooks beforehand, things like the fact that Torode hates salmon is irrelevant.

Worse still, the contestants they chose to move forward are ridiculous. They talk about them like trash, then pick them as the winner. They talk about how important food and cooking is, yet they allow the worst cooks to move forward.

Week 1- Charlotte is rejected. She had amazing knowledge of food and was a good cook, but because she was a polished speaker (she worked in public relations-they knew that) she was perceived as not "genuine." Instead Karen, who knows nothing about food, is barely an okay cook, actually winced at the taste of thai basil and read her speech on why pick her from a notebook was put forward.

Week 2 - Both judges had a problem with Christopher who thought Wasabi was too strong to serve with Tuna. And they said something to the effect that Japanese have been doing it for years. Yet in an episode earlier in the week, Greg said, "Peanut butter and noodles don't go together." Someone ought to let the Thai in on that.

I disagree, love how you state your personel opinion of contestants as cannon and a good reason to say why you dislike the show(because the judges dont share your views) Anyway, great show I think.
