The Gay friend

HIDDEN SECRETS, to be completely honest, is a propaganda film reminding people that to sin is a horrible crime. The film fails to tell people that sinning is part of being human and the unconditional love God has for all people.
I have many gay friends. Several of them still have a close relationship with God and know that God loves them. However, the idea that the gay friend in this film is going to suppress his true feelings and lead a "straight life" by reading the Bible is the same sad cycle so many men have fallen down. I have seen or heard cases of men thinking God will "cure" them and so they marry, have a family and pray hard to "think straight." However, it ultimately rarely works out and it only causes pain. I wish that in the film, the gay friend accepted who he was and still maintained his love and faith in God. That would of been a stronger message; however, if they had done that, the church groups probably wouldn't buy the dvd to show to their youth classes.
