My review of the film

Ok so I see this advertised and decide to check it out. The start is hardly captivating, not sure whether anyone else agrees but I'm not too much of a big fan of bikes, as I believe the director probably was and decided it would be neat to make a film with a lot of biking action and horror. I think biking is alright as a n individual sport but not really something that can be used as a motivation for a storyline, this is why Pacific Blue didn't do too well in TV and perhaps the director/writer or whoever should have taken notes.

Other than that the acting was rather lackluster, and as another user put it: "wooden" - it felt like I was watching actors for a film school project. I'm not the type of person who enjoys celebrity actors, but I prefer seeing realistic or good portrayals rather than awkward and offbeat acting which somehow doesn't seem to work - I am guessing this is partly due to the bad direction. Also I wasn't inspired by the choice of actors performing. The woman Anne wasn't really anything short of an interesting actress to keep us continuously intrigued or captivated, she seemed too boring and lacked any soul - not to mention her character was dumb as hell, but this has already been covered. The villain was also another let down, so he was insane... big deal, and he was a sadist... big deal and a cop wow! How original... no surprises there. I felt more inclined to be interested in the secondary characters who were either dubbed or had no speaking roles i.e. the truck driver and the woodcutters.

The whole thing wasn't so much badly scripted but just wrong in every turning point. And I truly blame the direction of this production. Camera work was jittery and blurry for that "reallistic" effect which inadvertently wasn't pulled off but I'm guessing once again this was the director's call.

I was literally counting off the seconds for this film to end because it had me bored and tired with the characters. I actually wanted both the pathetic villain and Anne to be killed off by the crushing Monty Python's Flying Circus GOD FOOT.
