Even worse

This is so bad. This has absolutly nothing to do with Walking Tall again. He never uses a stick only guns. He's not the sheriff. None of the other cops are fired, only one is corrupt. He only fights back beacuse they kidnapped his girlfriend. A Fight in a convience store. Neither of these movies are good. All this is is a cheap Steven Seagal movie. If I wanted to see bar fights, fights in a convince store, going out for revenge and guns blazing, I'd watch Fire Down Below or Out for Justice. At least those were in Theaters. I work for Blockbuster and got we movie a week ago. The Rock's Actually had something to do with Walking Tall. All people are doing is exploting a tragedy that happened to one man. Everyone criticizes blockbuster employees. Well let me tell you something. That the only reason I saw this. Beacuse it was free. I am not speaking as an employee. I never write reviews on movies beacuse a movie is just a freaking movie but when it comes to something like what happened to Bufford Pusser and that people try to exploit what he went through for money that is low and pathetic. Especially when I see comments that say who is Bufford Pusser? You have no idea what Walking Tall is and you say these are good movies? That is sad. As for saying these were inspired by Walking Tall. What was inspired? Not being a sherif? A bar fight, A convence store fight? Taking justice into your hands when your father is killed or your girlfriend is kidnapped? Mabye guns blazing? Really? So then what is the insperation for Steven Seagal, Jackie Chan, Tom Curise, Vin Diesel, Will Smith and many others? What was the insperation for their movies? None. They were just written to make a movie. You can find any of that in movies done by any number of actors.

Let me get this straight. You've not seen the movie and you've already analyzed it and providing your expert opinion? Fascinating!! Now I respect your right to provide comment on a movie you've never seen, but I was hoping your critique would be better than your spelling and grammar. Let's see; absoutly should be absolutely; by no stick (defined as long thin piece of wood)you mean no 2x4; by shariff you mean sheriff; by Fight you mean fight; by convience store you mean convenience store; by is is you mean is; by convince you mean convenience and by Theaters you mean theaters. Oh, I feel better already. Man I'm glad I got that off my chest. Ok, back to the movie. If your going to butcher the Queen's English than for Pete's sake have a better story for why you don't like it. No stick!!? That's it, no stick! Come on, give us something that we can sink our teeth into. Since the movie has not been released tell us what crystal ball or bowling ball you used to provide us this expert analysis?

you is some kinda teatcher, go post on teacher boardz, or is it you feel better knowing other people ain't flawless either? I did hide sume mistakes in this, to give you opportunities to cleanse da queen'z englisch (and to cover those I do unwanted). Go for it!
As for the moovie, it's a real bat one and proofs Mr. Sorbo beeing nearly as bad an actor than ole Stevie Seagal.

reply

Nah, he's probably just some kinda smart.

Hey I know what we should do today, let's post on IMDB and make no sense at all. That sounds like a good idea and by the way how can you say that either Kevin Sorbo or Steven Seagal are bad actors? Give me a break.

You know the enemy of my enemy is often considered my friend.

No. He says that he has seen it, and he doesn't like it. Look at his post. It's in the middle.

I just finished watching it, and I agree with him. It isn't very good as an action flick, and it has nothing to do with Walking Tall. They simply prostituted the name to gain a few bucks from unsuspecting viewers like me.

It would have been hard to squeeze any more "sit around and talk" scenes into this "action" movie, and it would have been very easy to slip in tons more action.

I did like the part in the convenience store where Sorbo throws the cans, and a couple of scenes when they attacked the house. I also liked all the stock bad-guy scenes: the shock torture, the cornfield murders, the finger snipping, good guy who sells out, the irrational killings. Great stuff. I was looking for Joe Pesci to show up.

I like Kevin Sorbo He is the star because of his looks and personality, but as an actor, he ain't got a clue. In this movie, he outshines the rest of the cast. That has got to be a first for him.

And that can't be good sign.

I give it one star out of ten. Two stars for the can that Sorbo threw, one star for the rest of the action, but a big minus two stars because they didn't kill off that irritating little girl.

I have seen the original Walking Tall and its sequels, and thought all three were good. I did not see The Rock's version, but from what I have heard,it really wasn't all that good. Having said that,I can tell you that I have seen Walking Tall The Payback and really enjoyed it and am very much looking forward to this one. It seems to me that you had your mind made up about WT3 BEFORE you even saw it. Don't misunderstand, I respect your opinions(although I don't agree with them)but I do think that viewing these movies requires an open mind.

Blockbuster employee!!!! Well, well, well that certainly explains why you're so sure of yourself. Everyone knows Blockbuster employees credentials for evaluating a movie are much more significant than the rest of us mere mortals. And by the way, long before the Blockbuster employee Gods get to view these movies rough cuts are provided to cast members so I think you need to reevaluate your "I see them first" mantra. Now that I've finished funning with you I must say in fairness that your overall analysis of this movie was very limited in critical thinking. I'm not saying that to insult you in this case. I'm just saying that you have not given this movie an honest look. Like an old guy who is stuck on Sean Connery as James Bond and doesn't like Rodger Moore. Normally nothing is better than the original movie because it is what you've ingrain into your mind. The first Walking Tall movie was made on the cheap but the story was real and people appreciate the fact that an everyday guy from Tennessee with integrity could clean up a community at a heavy price. Joe Don Baker did a wonderful job, especially based on the budget and supporting cast. It became your favorite and I totally understand. Honestly though, if you look at the first Walking Tall the acting (especially by the supporting cast) is arguably not as good as these last two movies staring Kevin Sorbo. The cinematography for these newer versions are significantly better and why not, they were produced 34 years after the first one. And the story line, well this isn't Tennessee, it's Texas partner. And Keven Sorbo is a totally different actor. Comparing Baker to Sorbo is like putting Baker in some animal skins and having him run around as Hercules. It ain't happening pal!! More importantly Sorbo doesn't play Bufford Pusser. He plays Nick Prescott and therefore does not claim to be the person played by Baker. The Pusser family are rightfully proud of the real Bufford Pusser. But Walking Tall is not a trademark. There are 165,000 soldiers, sailors and Marines in the Middle East right now and brother in my mind the are "Walking Tall"

Seriously dude, what's your problem? Relax and stop being such a troll.

Wow. Blockbuster must not care if its employees can spell, or simply type out a complete thought without a myriad of grammatical errors. Its no wonder you "work for Blockbuster" and not in a "convince store" where people are "exploting" the workers. As for the movie, until you MAKE a movie instead of overcharging for them, shut your mouth and go restock the Xbox games, kid.
