Why sorbo?
i aint understanding why the producer of the walking tall wanned to kick out "the rock" who actually did a WONDERFUL job playin in the movie, and exchange him with a man who hardly dont know how to act! Sorbo pisses me off!
shareWhy are you bashing Kevin Sorbo when you haven't seen the movie yet? The man does know how to act. His roles in Hercules & Andromeda are proof enough of that.

Thanks,Julia. I suppose I should have added that Kevin has done a number of guest shots,including his current role on The OC,that would offer proof to anyone who doubts his acting ability.
shareI had one day of shooting a scene with Kevin Sorbo (a small roll - two lines as a truck driver). He made a point between scene's camera resets to say hello to me, introduced me to his fiance and took photos with me. I watched him perform and he was extreamly professional. His acting that day had no flaws...this from a fellow actor.

I can't say anything about the quality of film this is, but I will back lancejay up about Sorbo's personality. Part of this movie (the scenes in the sheriff's office from my understanding) were shot in the building that I live and work. I am a reporter for the city that they filmed in and I got to hang out on the set all day. I snapped photographs all day long of Sorbo and his co-stars. He was extremely nice and pleasant to be around. He shook my hand and asked who I was and if I liked my job. Nice guy!

shareActually it's with Kevin Sorbo - lol! And I suppose that this is so because - regardless of how kind he is - in terms of acting Sorbo rocks.
I haven't seen the Rock's Walking Tall version; I only saw him in the Scorpion King. Good thing he's moving there because in terms of acting his range is somewhere slightly beneath the buildings surrounding him. But he might have been better in other movies.
I also worked both films with Kevin as a crew member, and can honestly say he is one of the nicest, most down to earth actors I have worked with in 15 years. Not only is he professional, kind and sincere, he knows his market and plays to it. He is under no illusions that he is a Laurence Olivia. He deserves a more credit than many are willing to give him.
