Gee, I'd always thought telerobotics was a good idea as a way to a) allow people with physical handicaps to perform physical labor without overstressing their bodies, and b) providing work for people who would otherwise be rendered jobless by fully-autonomous robots.

I thought it was strange how they had the advanced technology of the "neuro-interface", but were not able to get A.I. for robots good enough to do some of the simpler work depicted, like picking oranges. It's probably even possible today, it's just cheaper to use low-wage workers.
If this is the future I hope Armadeggon comes first and we don't live to see it coming any closer to us. Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on us!
