Engrossing...but

It grabbed me and held me right to the end, when it was a WTF moment. The suicide explosion scene in the square being repeated was a real curve ball. Eventually I figured out the time sequence of the movie was out of order as shown, and I grew to accept it.

What got me going though, was what the connection of the chemical engineer was to any of the terrorist players. There was the earlier phone record from a known terrorist, but I expected that individual would appear later and he had, and I thought I had missed it, but apparently not as explained by the IMDB synopsis. The cell phone very well could have changed hands. Or was it? The $40K bribe could still have happened, and the soccer team names were meant to be misleading to escape torture . The chemical engineer could actually be a sleeper. Hmmm.

The unsung performance for me was the suicide bomber and lover of Fatima named Khalid as played by Moa Khouas, who is an apparent mystery man with no picture and limited bio.
His range of emotion shown from affection for Fatima to the absolute anguish on his face as he stood before her in the square near detonation of the vest was exceptional.
