After all that she went through, I know for a fact that she would not want to tell about what she had gone through. Plus, her car was still in the garage and I don't know if she would have had a way to go to her parents' house. I somehow doubt that she went. She would have really needed to recover from that, even on Christmas Day.

As someone who had been through awful trauma and a survivor I can tell you for a fact that family is the best way to start healing mentally.
Do you remember the part where the police show up? A report is already in the local police department so the police would follow up on what happened Everyone who works in the area would be questioned.
She would also need medical care.
I would hope for her sake family is made aware of what happened.
