What? A handsome guy like Wes Bentley as a security guard?

Did anyone find it credible that a young guy as handsome as Wes Bentley would be working as a security guard in an underground garage?

Let's put it this way. How many of you out there (HONESTLY)have come across many handsome security guards in your lifetime? If you did, probably the guy was going to college and the job was to earn some income or spending cash.

Another way to put it, a handsome young white guy out there with even, above-average intelligence is going to be able to swing a better career using his good looks to advantage, not deceitfully, but because he knows interviewers are typically impressed with handsome people to begin with, a natural human tendency.

I apologize to all security guards out there. I wasn't making fun of you. But honest, I haven't seen handsome guys, of any race or ethnicity, pulling security guard gigs. I don't know why. It just is. It doesn't mean anything bad about being a security guards.

1. He isn't that handsome. I'm a straight male so I don't know how relevant my opinion is for that, but it's true.

2. "Hollywood ugly" is different than "actual" ugly. Just see programs like The Duff and Ugly Betty as examples. This is for several reasons:

2a. Hollywood types probably don't want to deal with genuinely ugly people in such an intimate way if they can help it, especially such a gorgeous leading lady as we had in P2. Would you want a grimy neckbeard-ass fat mofo touching you and stuff, even for a movie?

2b. It makes the ugly people feel bad that they were cast for their ugliness. No one wants to shame people for something they're born with. Fat people is slightly different because fat is a choice. Ugly can't be fixed.

2c. Imagine a casting call that says "Looking for ugly ass bastard, please call 555-UGLY for this movie part of an ugly S.O.B."

I knew a hot security guy. He actually went to the same college as I (2 years my senior)and after he graduated he got the security job on campus. He was handsome but was a lazy POS. His parents spent thousands on his college education and he jumped on the security job because it paid decently and came with benefits...he did absolutely NOTHING all day and had a superiority complex. That is until he was fired. Not before gaining a pizza gut cause he never cooked for himself, just gorged himself on take-out 24/7.

So yeah...hotness is relative.
