"If I Had A Hammer"

Season 1, one of the episodes ends with Peggy's priest busting out his guitar and playing "If I Had A Hammer" but the lyrics were different. I looked in Wikipedia and the Hammer song was written in 1949 by Pete Seeger. I wondered maybe it was older, maybe from one of those revival Christian tent show ministries... at least the music, anyway...
