Well scripted, cast and edited. Kudos to Boden, Fleck, the entire cast and crew. Ever scene has meaning. A relevant study on the expectations and pressures of not only youth, but our society in general. Uplifting, redeeming and revealing this is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. Art and music will always be the great redeemer of spirit.
shareI agree, great film, its not without faults, but what movie is absolutely perfect? I think people here harp on faults rather than the good, which there is more of. The acting was great, the set design was good, decent directing, good story, and I really like how they didn't use fake dialogue. I'm sure they didn't stick to the book and I know a lot of people are complaining about realism, but how many films do that? If films were completely real, would we watch them? Probably not, not even reality T.V. is completely real.
