Adaptation

I loved the book to death. I've read it so many times that every line and character and heartfelt exchange is engrained into my brain. It's definitely my favourite.
But this movie.
I had high expectations for what SHOULD HAVE been an easy adaptation, but so much was done wrong, I have to wonder where the people who actually read the book are. I was SO disappointed. I couldn't bother with leaving a bad review, as it wasn't the movie itself that bothered me, but rather the idea that it was SUPPOSED to be an adaptation.
Does anyone else feel the same way?
