I think they should have shown the main guy falling in love w. The NOTTIE before the make over. Before the makeover he did grow fond of her but in a friendship sort of way. After she got pretty THEN hes feelings grew romatically. That sequence of the film was kinda contridictory towards the films message that beauty is on the inside.

shareThe rich, handsome guy who hooks up with the Nottie is the real hero of the movie since he pays for a lot of her cosmetic surgery. The fact that she drops him when he shows the slightest inkling of being a jerk was irritating. Is that what women are supposed to take away from this movie? That they should hope for a rich and talented man to become attracted to them so that they can latch onto him and waste his money on themselves? This is a fairy tale for gold diggers! arrggh!
