So the cops message is that bad guys get to do what they want?

Did you start a war with the wrong dog?

Just do everything they tell you to...

Etc, etc.. (I realize the above is probably slightly paraphrased.)

Basically, it seemed to me that the cops just wanted the grieving father to leave his son's death alone and accept it while letting the thugs go along on their merry way. ("The person we think killed your son" - said guy walking around unfettered and free.)

So the gist of the story is that the police are incapable and afraid, citizens should not rely on them, and all the aggrieved should just accept their fates and hide in their 3 bedrooms. Oh, yeah, cops'll arrest you for standing up for yourself, never forget about that one.

Great inspiration. I think I'll go buy several guns if this movie is indicative of the real state of cops versus criminals in our time (jk, already own some...)

It's absurd to think those cops would let it go after Billy Boy and his thugs killed those two cops in the car. That's a BIG no-no. That's when the movie started getting a little too outlandish.

I mean, I can forgive the overly critical and passionate SJW cop bitching at him for attacking those poor, underprivileged gang members if they didn't kill those cops and suggest that they could or would get away with that. The entire city police force would be cracking down on those punks.

Get off your soapbox while I play you a tune on the tiniest violin.
