Images used in the film's backstory

When the child lobotomies are being discussed, there is a photograph that is now widely circulated, but is a genuine photograph of a child transorbital lobotomy - it's from a collection of Walter Freedman's notes (Freeman was an infamous lobotomist). The subject is a boy named Howard Dully, who was only 13 at the time of this process. I hope the props people asked for permission to use that image, because Howard Dully is alive and well - or as well can be after a life scarred by a horrific and unnecessary medical procedure.
