What ever happened to this film?

I can't find anything about it being released, did it die?

reply

No, this film didn't die - maybe seriously wounded for a time - it just took a long time to get completed. The final sound mix was done the end of June 07, and the final color correction will be finished the end of July.
This film will have a private screening in Hollywood on August 16th, and the first film festival to respond to the producers is the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival, which has accepted the film.

Also... James Snyder (the star of AIC), has landed the lead role in CRY BABY (remember the movie starring Johnny Depp?), which will open on Broadway - March of 2008.

Awesome, I'm glad to hear that. Thanks for the info.

Yeah, I do remember Cry Baby. Good for him!

Since you were so great with info when I asked about this film back in July .. do you know anything new about the status? Thanks in advance. :)

Well, this movie ALMOST died. We had the worst luck with film distributors, actually signed with two separate companies, didn't work out with either of them. Finally the guys at SLAMDANCE referred us to a great guy who worked at Alumination (now defunct), who then hooked us up with a hard-working, HONEST entertainment lawyer - who then hooked us up with OSIRIS entertainment: great little indie film distributor that is growing fast.
We couldn't be happier with them. So it took awhile...

The film is being released across America on November 24th, 2009. Hollywood Video has already pre-ordered 8000 copies of the film, so everybody should be able to find it there, or Netflix, or Blockbuster, whatever...
