Unlike everyone else (it seems) I enjy watching both Desire and Fashion House. They aren't the greatest ever, but they meet high enough quality to watch rather some of the more undesireable shows that are on right now. The acting is actually pretty good and the story has been thought out pretty well. I even think that most of the actors are attractive.
shareI don't dislike the shows, but I'm not in love with them either. They're mostly a time-filler for me until the other Fall shows start on other networks. I probably will watch the re-cap episodes on the weekend, however.
It's definitely one of those guilty pleasures, though. Kinda corny, but kinda entertaining.
That's why the black & white episodes of "I Dream of Jeannie" and "Bewitched" were sexy, baby!
I like this one more than Fashion House, they are pretty on par with what they are supposed to be, the English version of a novela. Somewhat overdramatic acting, humor and cheese stories and in every other market they work well, just not here I guess. I love it though.
shareThere's definitely an audience for this type of show. These shows were heavily toned down from the original Spanish versions in terms of "cheese" so you can imagine what they were like. But it's fun. And that's the idea I think they're trying to go with. Sort of like Danielle Steele novels, melodramatic and overly romantic but you can't dispute that Danielle Steele is a very wealthy woman because of it!

shareOkay dss-6 and TeamMember why watch them if you dislike them that much? AND why look for message boards about a show you dislike that strongly?
Doesn't make sense to me that either of you would spend 2 hours or 80 mins (with a divx) watching the shows and writing on message boards about shows you are not enjoying.
No it's 40 minutes total for both shows. Eye candy is always good on the soul, no matter how quickly it's eaten. :]

I love this show. I think its more intresting than fashion house. If i didnt have a dvr i wouldnt be watching though. I tape all 5 episodes of each show and then watch a week worth straight through...skipping through commercials it doesnt take that long..so im always a week behind on 1 of he 2 shows but its worth it. Its intresting as its 3 season show in 3 months time....i will miss it when its over. Its addicting!
I don't know if I like it or not, yet. I have just begun to tape it because I forgot to set my tape earlier.
I know one of the young actresses who has a role in the show, but who hasn't made an appearance yet; so wanted to get the ghist of the story at least.. I am more interested in seeing her performance, since it is the first opportunity that I have had to watch her in anything since she went to Calif. I believe that she makes her first appearance on Sept. 20th.
If you haven't seen these shows, how can you have an opinion on whether they suck or not? Commercials play in all shows, and they can be extremely annoying, but that doesnt' determine whether people like a show or not! Commercials are, unfortunately, necessary. That's why the DVR is good, you can fast forward through all of them.
shareI enjoy watching the show, even though everything is so predictable and the commercial breaks is really annoying but the show itself is very entertaining and keeps my attention.
shareI didn't really like this show after the first week, but now it's getting better, the stories are getting more entertaining, their are more characters. I think also the actors are really getting more comfortable in their roles as each episode goes by. I still like Fashion House better but this show is growing on me more.
