In an era when 99.9% of shows don't stay on the air long enough to tie up loose ends, I was extremely satisfied with the finales of both shows. And it was great that they left both shows open enough that they could do follow-ups (not that they probably will). However...
Death didn't seem like the appropriate ending for George and Victoria. Yes, they were villains, but they were hammy villains, and a more appropriate (and horrific) fate for them would have been prison time. That storyline was resolved so quickly in the finale that it seemed like they padded the rest of the episode (not that I'm complaining). Oh yeah, and I was delighted to see Suzy ride off into the sunset with her old millionaire. It was mentioned in another thread that she should've paid for her sins, but this is Suzy after all! And if they did a follow-up, maybe she could cross paths again with Mr. & Mrs. Stucky!
All in all, a great ending, and I'm really gonna miss these characters. I was bored to death with what I saw of the two new shows, so my daily soap fix likely came to an end on Tuesday night.

Glad you liked it. True, the resolve of the kidnapping seemed to end after 20 minutes, but I was glad they resolved everything in the show. Yes, George and Victoria were hammy criminals, but George was coming to the dark side in the end, so death was probably the only was out.
I don't think there will a follow up since the show was translated (not rewritten from scratch) from the original show, Table for Three. I don't want one anyway since it was nice how it ended. Just about everyone got a 'Happily Ever After' from Suzy down to the Stuckey's lol. If only life was that simple.
As for the two new shows, I'm giving them a chance. I preferred Watch Over Me. Many of the Desire writers went to that show.

I saw some of WATCH OVER ME last night. Then I received a call from my beau, and wanted to talk to him. But all in all, that looks like a new and promising show. I don't like to opening song for it, but I like the opening song for WICKED WICKED WAYS better, although, I think that's going to be a ridiculous show.
I did watch FASHION HOUSE as well as DESIRE, and loved them both, but liked the ending to DESIRE much better. I think the George and Victoria deserved to die, b/c their charactors were very horrible people. The way they killed Andrea's father and the way they drowned Andrea's friend in order to kill her father to get the money made their punishment appropriate.
They're up there eating Jesus, why can't I eat this?

It was Victoria who killed both Andrea's father and friend, while George was just an accessory to the crime. Victoria's death is deservedly so, but George should have ended up in prison as the less evil sibling, which could trigger a new season as he vows revenge against Louis and Alex. Who knows, George may have survived the gunshot and upon recuperation, Season 2 will commence.
