Was Travis Fimmel good?

Honestly, he looked great as Anduin Lothar. His acting was pretty good and dude, he can emote! Also, his fighting skills were incredible but the only problem was that they didn't let him fight as much.

reply

He was flat only because the character he was playing was flat.

reply

This should not be an an excuse for the movie. Plenty of flat characters in novels have been fleshed out in film adaptations.

I had no problem with his performance, but a lot of people didn't like him, for some reason. Possibly it helps that I've never seen Vikings.

reply

I felt like I was just watching Ragnar, instead of Lothar. I wasn't wowed by him playing the role, but I didn't hate him in it. They showed that he was a more than capable fighter, than he is in the game lore.

reply

I thought he did a pretty good job.

reply

He didn't come across as Ragnar to me and I liked him here but his accent was very Ragnar for sure. But frankly, I prefer that accent choice over a standard American or Received English. It made him more unique and stand out more.

reply

He didn't look the part.

He was absolute travesty in this movie. His constant mumbling and terrible one liners put me to sleep. He looked whole the time like he wanted to be somewhere else.

reply

He was the only actor who understood the cornball tone of the film

So exactly like his interviews
