Well there are several animated ones that appear to have a higher rating but with the exception of Final Fantasy VII: The Advent Children, most of them them have less than 10000 votes:

More precisely, Warcraft is the highest rated video game adaptation on IMDb with the largest number of votes. Though that list makes Reck-It-Ralph the highest rated one, that does not count as a video game adaptation in my opinion, just a film with video games as a theme. It might eventually drop to 6.9 on IMDb but we'll see. It has dropped very slowly since it's release in theatres as more non-fans got to see it and rated it.

By far also. Not too bad of a film either, expected much worse. A little cheesy tho, but what could you expect!

I thought it was shockingly bad... Tomb Raider was a much better video game>movie in my opinion.

Why? Tomb Raider also had bland characters and lack of motivation in it. Tomb Raider 2: Cradle of Life was actually better in that respect. Actually, even the Rotten Tomatoes scores are a bit higher for Warcraft than either of the Tomb Raider movies, the first Tomb Raider has 20% approval rating, Cradle of life has 24% while Warcraft has 28%.

Well I admit I haven't seen it in over 10 years, but it seemed a fairly well made film. The Warcraft one was just a cringe fest the whole way through for me.

Well, I liked Tomb Raider but I believe from fans of the game series that it didn't showcase a lot of history like the games did, (those were more like Indiana Jones adventures with a female protagonist, which the partly tried to be, I guess). Warcraft is actually the one that's closest to the games that I've ever seen (yes, there are some differences to the lore but they are actually no more and even less impactful than differences between X-Men: Days of Future Past and the equivalent story in the actual comic book, the story and plot is otherwise exactly the same). Other than that, even as a movie, having both sides of the conflict with their own motivations should of been something interesting that sets it apart from other similar fantasy movies. Warcraft did have some problems with editing and pacing but otherwise, I don't think it's that bad.
