Just curious . . .
Has he ever won a throwdown?? I have watched about 5 episodes and he never seems to win, and the guy from New Orleans really kicked his butt!!

shareYes he's won seven times on Throwdown.
Here's his record on the show

Thanks!
Seriously... I mean he pretty much loses to any Joe Schmoe or Plain Jane he takes on. It's like dude, you're supposed to be a pro. You don't see anybody else on the Food Channel getting shown up.
shareIt's like dude, you're supposed to be a pro.Uh... the same goes for the competition. These are people who who've had years or decades to perfect their recipes, probably with hundreds of different permutation and hundreds of thousands of customers to try and nitpick and make suggestions. A lot of the time, he'll get criticized because his dishes lack the culture and tradition that the other ones have had years to build.
If Bobby Flay wins, its pathetic for the one being challenged, because they were defeated in their area of expertise.
But also if the one being challenged wins, it's pathetic for Bobby Flay, because he's a reputable, professional chef.
So either way, someone gets their ego bruised.

Love is a many splendid thing...
He's supposed to lose. The somewhat subtle point of Throwdown is to let the guest chef shine. Bobby typically looks embarrassed when he wins, he wants the other chef to win. It's all about celebrating their food and giving them 15 minutes in the spotlight.

That's funny. I've watched a few episodes of this show and kept thinking to myself "Does Bobby Flay ever lose?!" It seemed that he always won his opponents, but then again I guess I haven't seen that many to judge just yet. I'm happy to hear that he's lost quite a few, otherwise that would've been just a tad cruel.
