Wants/Don't wants for GTA V

I'm interested in what people want and more importantly, don't want to see in GTA V.

Most of the stuff I wanted has already been shown in the trailer, mainly:

It being set in San Andreas
Civilian Planes
Military Jets
Jet Skis

other than that I'd Like to see:

Jetpacks

The Whole of San Andreas (only Los Santos was shown in the trailer). I wouldn't be too upset with just Los Santos, but I'd love it to be the whole state.

Original Taxi missions (i.e. steal a cab press a button to start taxi mission)

Button cheats, or at least not dropping your phone every time you get shot while trying to enter a cheat.

More Cheats, I want flying cars, riot mode etc back.

Theatre Mode for consoles (if black ops can do it, so can GTA)

Thing I don't want to see:

Socializing, I don't mid the ability to play pool, drink, bowl etc. but I really couldn't stand all those phone calls to do these things and losing abilities with contacts if you don't.

Dating, this was just lame.

Too much/forced character customization. If I want to play dress up, I'll buy a barbie doll. If I need to change into a suit for a mission, make it a cutscene. I don't mind having a selection of outfits, but shopping for clothes is not something that should be in a GTA game IMO.

Working out/eating to remain healthy, more lameness.

Can't think of much more for now, anyone else?

Wants:

All of the technical stuff, physics and gameplay from GTA IV, except way better.

A map larger than SA and loads of content.

Planes

Epic story

Great Characters

Realism

Wants
Keep the social accept but tone it way down. In moderation or if it has realvince to the story its cool.

Multiple protagints in a huge inter connecting story.

More realism.

Dont Want

Nutty silly off the wall game play like a lot of people seem to be craving, Its clear the series has moved on to something more mature, if all you want to do is run around and shoot cops then play saints row.

Most of this is optional. No reason to exclude stuff just because you don't like it. Just don't do it.

I just want fun missions. I loved GTA 4 but the missions were boring and repetitive. Go here, chase this guy up the stairs, now shoot him.

I mean SA was so immersive and fun. It was just fun mission followed by over the top and ridiculous fun.

Like the Casino mission in SA had like 10 preceding missions that built it up like crazy... just like the VC bank robbery. But the grand awesome mission in GTA 4.. a bank robbery... just kind of happens. "Hey let's go rob a bank"...

I want more creative missions with a flare for the ridiculous. It would be awesome if they main character is indeed Tommy Vercetti, that would make my day.

Its not optional if you want to get 100% completion, also if you ignore social call from contacts they like you less and and you lose some of the features bring "friends" with them gives you.

If I remember correctly in San Andreas you would lose health if you didnt go and eat regularly.

As for the customization Id just rather they put something more interesting into the game in its place, I have no interest in changing my character's, clothes, haircut etc.

I don't mind the social contacts, although I've yet to play IV completely.

Eating/Exercising/Dating in SA was amusing for a couple of minutes, then as the game went on I just used a trainer. That was a huge mistake by R* - GTA isn't a Sim. We want great gameplay, storylines, immersive experiences - not some WoW/Second Life requirement.

I don't see why less features is even an idea. Just because you don't want to change your character's clothes doesn't mean nobody will want to, some people don't like the default appearance and want to tailor it to make them feel better. Also, changing clothes is needed like four times in the entire game of GTA IV, it's not like every mission made you change clothes.

Also, it's not like gaining 100% completion is going to be full of stuff you like. I don't like hunting around the city shooting 20000000 pigeons, you don't like playing virtual pool/darts/bowling, once again, it doesn't mean no one likes those things.

Though I could do without the constant calls, I'd much prefer to initiate like in TBoGT and TLAD.

I think I'm much easier to please than most of you guys. "Great missions, story, characters" kind of goes without saying, doesn't it? That said...

WANT

More airports, more variety of planes (especially in multiplayer)

Las Venturas

The ability to put together a crew and rob banks for extra cash

The ability to mod cars with paintjobs, Nitro or maybe even some kind of James Bond-ish stuff like oil slick or spike strip, run-flat tires, bulletproof glass, armor, etc

Better girlfriends with better perks

More safe houses/garages

More buildings you can go inside of

Better cars (nearly all of the cars on GTA4 were crap except for Comet)

Better weapons, including heat seeking RPG and minigun from SA

The ability to do something with your money besides buy guns and clothes. I really hated that about GTA4. They should have boxing matches or stock market or just something cool you can spend money on.

Gain/lose weight/muscle

The ability to replay missions like in Gay Tony

DON'T WANT

A bunch of "long driving" or "having to follow people" missions

Glitchy multiplayer, although I think the eventually fixed most of the ones in GTA4

Don't try to cash in love, that check will always bounce.

Better girlfriends with better perks

It's too bad there are no perks (via girlfriend or otherwise) in Story Mode, but I like how Online turned out (with Lester's, Merryweather's, Pegasus' and the Mechanic's services). The lack of a vehicle delivery service and ammunition drops I miss a lot in Story Mode.

More buildings you can go inside of

I was disappointed by this, but there is no telling what could be accomplished in the future via DLC. You can't even hear what other players' are listening to from outside of their vehicles, in Online.

The ability to replay missions like in Gay Tony

This was a given, I think. The progress from 4 to The Lost to The Ballad implied a sort of direction.

WANTS:

Customization - Player (weight, muscles, hair, etc.), clothes, houses, cars
Animals (especially in the wooded areas)
Businesses you can buy and sell

Fun cheats like riot mode and pedestrians have weapons.
Being able to replay any mission you want
Better music. Music in San Andreas helped set the mood. Music in GTA IV didn't.

I'd say - far from being impossible - it's an obvious lie.

People might think this is funny, but in GTAIV if you held triangle, your character would turn of the ignition and leave the car. If you pressed triangle your character would leave the car with the engine running (and radio playing).

Little innovations like that, that are so simple, the designers could easily forget them - those are the kinds of things I'm hoping they remember amidst all the (hopefully) revolutionary new features.

I think they will... From the looks of the trailer, they are building off of the current engines they have already employeed. I'm expecting to see all the good things we loved about IV, and a lot of new things to love.

GTA Race: Ability to choose ANY car to race...
This would grant the ability to have a tank, an NRG900, an infernus, and even an Ice Cream Truck (if you wanted...) racing against each other!
I still like the idea of classes to choose from, just add one class that is... Classless.

I like this idea, but for the time being, it can only be accomplished in Free Mode via the Improv Race feature.
