Apperantly, Rockstar just said on facebook that GTA V will have a map thats 2.5 times larger than the map in Red Dead Redemption.
I don't know if it's true, but it sure sounds extremely awesome. Read Dead Redemption had a HUGE map and GTA V might be 2.5 bigger than that? Holy *beep*!
"I'm unhappy, so I buy happiness, but it isn't working" -Jacob Palmer
Rockstar press release has already said that the game would be Los Santos and the surrounding beaches and countryside. No mention of it being the whole of San Andreas with other cities.
"Stay out of trouble you crazy kids" - Winston Wolf.
I'm going to go ahead and guess that at least 0.5 or more of that 2.5 will consist of the most likely vast expanse of explorable ocean water. Just putting it out there, I don't want to set myself up for disappointment
It's really sad that you could reduce a game that's as artistic as any movie down to 'I don't really like cowboys.'
It's just guys with guns, at the end of the day I don't see a big difference between that and a Grand Theft Auto game. Don't get me wrong, it has it's differences, but again; dudes shooting other dudes. It is basically the same thing - at it's core.

2.5 tome bigger than RDR? How is that possible? Does this mean the game is going to pause to load a different map every time you go to a different sections of the map like Vice City?

Ha. Well, it sure does takes a long time for the game overall to boot up and load the most recent save file, as it turns out. Rather impressive nonetheless.

well basically you just said "you cant have an opinion about something that other people find really good"
my response is, yes... i can
So basically, your opinion is that you are allowed to have an opinion about something you have no frame of reference for... you can't
-- well okay, okay, you can: google defines an 'opinion' as: "1. A view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge."
Since neither fact or knowledge came into play here - it's certainly not an impressive opinion - but it does qualify for the definition of an opinion nonetheless. (According to google.) Does it make you right in any way, including intellectually, or mentally (like, in the head right)?
....
Nope!
saying that red dead is like gears of war cuz its just "doods shootin other doods" makes you seem like a 5 year old who's mommy lets you play M rated games
This is coming from a guy... who types like this:
saying that red dead is like gears of war cuz its just "doods shootin other doods" makes you seem like a 5 year old who's mommy lets you play M rated games
and has these 'opinions':
i dont like cowboys
^^^ Only a true genius could be so thoughtful and eloquent ~
i didnt buy la noire either, not because i dont like detective stories, i just dont wanna play a movie
well basically you just said "you cant have an opinion about something that other people find really good"
my response is, yes... i can
...about games you've never played...
it might be incredible, but id rather play something that actually interested me
I get it!: 'Incredible', doesn't interest you! It makes perfect sense now! Wait. It doesn't.
See here's the thing, my comment was unassuming, and you reacted like a stupid child. Are you a troll? Or are you stupid? You're clearly ignorant. I don't even have to ask you that. You must be insecure. Why else would you take offense?
All I said was; it's sad that you could come to some superficial nonsense like "The minute cowboy hats and horses enter the equation; I'm out."
Wait, wait sorry, not like that, "teh sec cowboy guys n horsees come in its crap"
Yeah, more like that...
Anyway, by saying that, you are admitting that you are willfully ignorant, in your world, if you said "I don't like black people." your reason could be "Well I never met one, but I just don't like the looks of 'em."
Yeah, people vs. games, I get it, there's a difference, the point of an analogy is not to create an exactly equivalant scenerio. In fact, it would defeat the purpose, if you could understand the first scenerio, you wouldn't need clarification through the second.
No one said you couldn't dislike what others like dumbstick, they were trying to tell you how you shouldn't decide to 'like' or 'dislike' something you don't know sh!t about!

Really 40 year old virgins in our parents basement. Even your insults are cliche. Dude your mad insecure and I dont even think you understand your own point.
Hey guys, I loved RDR too, can I move into your basement and system link :-)My mum's still alive, but I can bring snacks lol
There sure are a lot of trolls on IMDb aren't there? 'pizza', you're an idiot. You don't like cowboys so you miss one of the best games ever made? Wow, way to experience life.....
