Why have there been so many threads deleted on this board? There used to be pages of discussions here, but now only 11 threads remain. Why?!?!?

Same thing happens on a lot of boards. Sucks since so many good discussions are wiped and either have to start again by someone else or get forgotten.

IMDb only has so much bandwidth, so they clear older inactive threads to make room for newer posts. I think that's the rationale, anyway.

In any event, it doesn't just happen here; it happens on the boards for lot of different films. I have seen threads that had over 400 posts deleted if there is no activity on them for a while.

I wish there was so form of human moderator handling the deletions so we could keep the intelligent discussions and just toss out the trolling ones or stuff like "Ellen Page was so hot in this!!!"

(Granted, that sounds like a thread that wouldn't be started on a board for a movie like this, but it's been disturbingly common.)

Can I trade in the children for more cash?
