Why were all those wounded Army guys fat as hell?

I didn't notice this, but maybe because many are reservists? They don't get the regular work outs that the regular military has. But I don't know--maybe someone who's more involved in this can say.

Many of the wounded service members who entered the Baghdad ER were from Army National Guard and U.S. Army Reserve units. Many units did not adhere to the Army's height and weight standards as well as routinely participate in daily physical training (PT) regimen.
