A quick question about an episode... Possible upsetting things...

((Spoilers for 'Inner Child'))

I watched this the other night, an episode called Inner Child when a ten year old girl was found dead on the beach. I turned out that she was molested, and when it was made public that a registered sex offender lived near the child's house, her father killed him, with both the 'ghost' of the dead girl and the sex offender following Raines around. My question is... Who actually killed the girl? Was it the sex offender who was killed by the father of the girl, or was it someone else? I may have missed a bit, but to me, I believed the man when he said he didn't do it...

Also, I know the contents of this episode was a touchy subject, but I thought the actress who played the girl and David Eigenberg, who played the sex offender were both briliant, especially the bit when the girl is throwing things around the office, many heading towards the man.

I agree, the actors did amazing with it. And yes, the sex offender Charles Nelson I believe was his name had DNA linking him to the crime. His hair was found on the girls body, they said.

Also, unless he really solves the crime, the victims don't go away, so the little girl would still be present should he not solve it.
