Another one season wonder??

I think this will be the same as Firefly, Tru Calling, etc. It will run for one season, it will be a very well made and amass a cult following. I also believe the show won't have the numbers to justify the budget and continue for a second season. It will forever live on dusty shelves in a dvd collection in 3 years.

Although the show may surprise us. I find this somewhat different than the 4400 I believe super powered beings on tv are having a true resurection. just like the early 80's where Mork & Mindy, Greatest American Hero, Wonder Woman, The Incredible Hulk, and even Small Wonder were some of the top television shows of that time, I believe that Heroes might stand a shot at true success. Given the popularity of Smallville, And Charmed (Curse you CW) I believe that just like the 4400 This show could outlast expectations and actually maintain a market share long enough to catch on. But this is merely speculation.

I'll give it six months tops! The premise has been done to death(like we need ANOTHER superhero/supernatrual show on the air). Plus the rainbow cast reeks of political correctness(I mean they even has a Indian in the cast).

I get what you mean, but you've only seen the pilot so far, right? I think it's a little presumptuous to assume they're "dropping the ball" when there's only been one freakin' episode. They've already introduced that "main" villain, and you don't know for sure that he doesn't have powers or minions with powers or anything. Unless you're on the inside, you really don't know anything yet. Just wait and see, and then criticize them.

Oh no! NOT DIVERSITY! We can't have diversity on TV! Everyone must be white!

God, so what if they "even has a Indian in the cast"? You say the rainbow cast reeks of political correctness... how about real life? I think if you went outside and took a walk through a city, you might see more than just Average White Joe Schmoe.

First off...the political correctness thing. I don't agree with political correctness and I find it annoying when TV and movie makers go out of their way to be politically correct.

But as for Heroes...this show HAS to be diverse to be realistic. It would not be as realistic if all the people developing powers were white Americans.

And TV can ALWAYS use another supernatural-themed show, even if there 100 of them on the air. If they can have countless crime shows and countless reality shows, sci-fi shows should get their turn too.
